SHEPP NEWS

Well hi to all

Summer, well what we had of it is now coming to a quick and fierce close aye!

This weekend sees the end of daylight saving for another season, and that makes the mornings lighter but brings on the darkish arvos.

I am enjoying my job but at times a bit boring as I want to get my teeth into stuff but as a "temp" there is only so much you are allowed to do.  I will be in the job till the end of May - fingers crossed - Tone has been quiet at work and he may finish earlier - so we are in a bit of a holding pattern at the moment, waiting for the next week to unfold to give us a more definate indication of what will take place.  We both need to at least be employed here till the end of May.........

I am either walking (takes 1/2 an hour) or riding my bicycle.  Quite funny really - chugging along my my bike in my work gear - hair done and makeup on.  If it rains I take Tone to work and have the car - but it has been pretty good - I have only had a couple of days that has happened.

We are off to the Echuca Air show on sunday, which will be a bit of fund and by the looks of the adds there will be some old timer planes etc to see.......
Had a great chat to chook on skype on saturday arvo last weekend - and she may come and visit us over the easter break - really looking forward to that.  Boy dexter is getting bigger by the day and he is gorgeous.

Not much more news - we are chugging along - will update soon.

Love and miss you all

SHEPP NEWS

Hi all

Well we have had another week go by, and it is starting to get a tad miserable.  It is meant to fine up for the weekend, which will be good, as the washing is piling up!!!!!

Tone and I will hopefully be here employed until the end of May, if not a bit longer - just to try and accumulate some funds for our next trip.  The tentative plan is to do a round trip and end up at Coober Pedy - and we will see how it goes in the planning.

We had a great weekend - did a big clean of the van inside and out (boy it was dirty).  We went out to Pizza Hut (not even my 7th choice of restaurants).  There was about 15 of us that went there from the caravan park - its funny - it started out just being the "boys" and then the "girls" were allowed to go.  LUCKY!!!

When we get the picture from Jan I will  post it to the blog.  We had a good night and then all walked home the long way around the Lake.   It is such a great bunch of people and we have such a good community feel about it.

On Sunday we ventured over to the Tatura Races - it was a big cup day = probably about 1000 people there.  I went all out and wore a fascinator - to join in with the day........

My first bet was a winner and I won probably 6 out of the 9 races - Not bad for a novice and of course no idea about the horse etc etc.....I just picked the name mostly.

Tone only had one place win of $3.75 =- he was not happy at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I even got to keep a cap from the bookie we were using.- not bad aye!

This weekend is a quiet one with catching up on some reading and Tone and I are off to "Bingo" - that will be fun.

Enjoy the pics - not many this time.

Love and miss you all

SHEPP NEWS

A LOVELY COUPLE.........
Well what is the latest from the Shepp we all know and love..........

Can you believe that we have been here for 7 weeks now and it has been a long 7 weeks I can tell you.

I have been going to bingo and can you believe it that I did not win last week!!! So that is it! NO MORE BINGO!!! Yeah right!  We are going to take on the Bendigo Bus Load that is coming to Shepp on the 29th March (sunday) for a treat.

I have now finished my first week of work at NVIRP (Northern Victoria Irrigation Replacement Project).  I have got a temp job in accounts payable - and as you who know me it is where I am best utilised.  Of course I am not CEO yet but it is only early days.
I am loving it even though at this stage I am just tidying up the shit that has been left by ex-employees.

Anyway - what els has happened.

We have been to Melbourne for the long weekend 0 they had their labour weekend last weekend.  We had a great weekend with seeing and swimming in the beach - even though it was only a harbour swim - it was nice to be in the sea.  We had two days at the caravan and camping show and still did not see it all - OMG We both fell in love the the 5th wheelers.

Oh well maybe when we win lotto we can upgrade!!!!!

We had a fun day a couple of weekends ago - Tone had a "turn" and I took him to shepp hostipal!! He was having dizzy spells and chest pains.  All is well with Tones heart - thank god - yes he has one! and we still need to address the dizzy spells he has - its not vertigo and its not diabetes - so we will continue to investigate.   But as you all know MEN DO NOT go to the doctor unless dragged by the hair kicking and screaming......

I have been walking to work and today decided to ride the bike.  OMG - I started off from the van and slipped and fell over and a man had to come and lift the bike off me and help me up - How embarrassing!!!!  Lucky not much was hurt just my pride!

Tone is now in charge of the two bong heads that are packing the seed and he is getting more and more experience in the fork lift - so he will be getting his licence soon - a bonus.

This weekend is a cleaning weekend and on sunday we are off to the Tatura Races.  Should be a hoot with all the local "land owners" - may even back a winner.....

We are looking forward to catching up with Lauren and Nick in Melbourne on the last weekend of April - they are going to see katy perry and we will give them some sight seeing of melbourne.

Now to all of you out there don't forget that we will be in Coober Pedy for three months and would love to have some visitors and see you.....

Oh well not much more news from shepp,  we will catch up with you soon.

Oh by the way thanks to Margaret and Sandy  for taking calls from people as a reference for me to get jobs and boy have I been for a lot!!!!!!!

Love and miss you all

UPDATES FROM SHEPP........

HI ALL,

Believe it or not we are now in our fourth week in Shepp, and now it is Autumn the weather has turned so suddenly!  From 45C days when we arrived to a cool 20C.
I must admit Tone and I are missing being near the water - as in the sea and beaches.  We do have a lovely lake at the park but its not quite the same.
Tone is working hard at the Seed Factory and a new bloke starts tomorrow so he may be shifted to the dispatch area on the fork so he will not come home looking like shrek!!!!!

I am still to find a job - so may decide to become a Professional Bingo Player - been quite a few times now and have won my money back every time - till yesterday - oh well!  Love Love Love it.....................

I had an interview at Monarch Personnel on Tuesday for an accounts payable position - somewhere - so here is hoping.  I have even been out and got a cross stitch so there you go I must be in travelling mode!

I am also looking for one of a caravan to cross stitch as well - just for fun.

Last weekend was a quiet one and Suzanne left us for the big smoke of Melbourne.  She is touring around the beaches - lucky thing - and soaking up the last of the summer sun.

I will be wheeling my new bike back to K mart today as the tyres won't stay up - and its not because of the weight its carrying (I hear you say)!!!!!!!

Oh well not much more news this time - off to bake some cookies and muffins and do my cross stitch - what a life - and take my bike back boo hoo...................

Love and miss you
